PRINCE2™ Practitioner Consolidation Course

Course Overview

This is an examination-based course, which provides accreditation at PRINCE2™ Practitioner level. All sessions will be led by an experienced and accredited PRINCE2™ trainer.
The course assumes that the delegate already has a Foundation level pass in the PRINCE2™ project management methodology. The course will consolidate this knowledge and develop it into an understanding of the practical application of the method.

Structure of the course

Pre-course preparation will be provided to ensure delegates have reviewed their PRINCE2™ knowledge before joining the course. This is to ensure that delegates are able to take part in the exercises, discussions and question and answer sessions.
Significant time will be spent during the course to structuring information into formats suitable for the examination, although this will be balanced by discussions on the wider application of the method to different project situations.

Course Objectives

  • To consolidate previously acquired PRINCE2™ knowledge
  • To discuss the implications of using PRINCE2™ in different project situations
  • To understand the structure and requirements of the Practitioner Exam
  • To pass the Practitioner Exam

Who should attend?

This course is aimed at delegates who have already passed the Foundation exam but require more in depth tuition to prepare for the Practitioner exam. Emphasis is placed on case study examples and applying the PRINCE2™ methodology to these case studies. Anyone who has studied for the PRINCE2™ Foundation exam by distance learning will benefit from this course.

Examination details

The Practitioner examination is based around a scenario, with 3 questions addressing how PRINCE2™ can be applied to the scenario. Each of the 3 questions is worth 50 marks and an overall score of 75 out of a possible 150 marks is required to pass. You will have three hours in which to answer the questions, with 10 minutes reading time at the start of the examination to become familiar with the scenario. It is an open-book examination so manual and notes can be used.
