Overview

ITIL Service Operation

Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) is a specialised framework that aims to improve the integration between the IT department within a business and the business itself. The framework dates back to the 1980’s, where the British developed it. The 2nd version of the framework was released to the rest of the world. In latest version was released in 2006.

The BCS accredited ITIL® Service Lifecycle – Service Operation Course is for candidates looking to gain knowledge and skills over 3 days in IT Service Management. This course will help candidates gain qualifications within the intermediate programme. {location}

Who should take this course?

In order for you to have a good chance of passing the exam and gaining the qualification, you must already hold the ITIL® foundation certification.

Why should I take this course?

There is a variety of reasons you should take an ITIL® qualification. It helps to improve better communication between IT departments and the rest of the business. It also helps the IT department reduce its costs and better optimise its resources.

Pre-course reading

Here at Training Deals, we recommend that you purchase a copy of ‘ITIL® Service Operation Book, 2011 edition’ as this give you the best preparation for the course.

Course structure

The course lasts 3 days where you will learn the principles and rules behind ITIL®. On the last day, you will be required to take an exam, which lasts 90 minutes, which tests you knowledge of ITIL®.

Exam structure

The exam consists of eight questions, which are multiple choice. You have 90 minutes or 2 hours in English isn’t your first language. In order to pass the exam and gain the certification you must gain 28 marks out of 40 or 70%.
