Course OverviewThis is an examination based course, which gives delegates accreditation at PRINCE2™ Practitioner level. The course equips delegates with a detailed knowledge and structure of the method, working through each stage of pre-project preparation and the project lifecycle. The course will detail how to initiate projects, including the documentation to be produced such as the Project Initiation Document and the Business Case. It will then move on to product delivery and controlling each stage of the project, from both the perspective of the Project Manager and the Project Board. The course will then address the issues surrounding project completion. The course combines the Foundation course and follows on from successful completion of the Foundation exam, building on the delegate's knowledge of the structure and content of PRINCE2™ and tunes this knowledge into an understanding of the practical application of the method which is being examined in the practitioner paper. Time will be given to assessing risks within the project, planning techniques and how to ensure a quality approach runs throughout the project. Structure of the courseThe course duration is five days, with the Foundation examination taken on the third day, and the Practitioner examination taken on the fifth day. In addition, time will be given to addressing examination technique and the best approach to the paper. The course booking fee includes a detailed timetable of pre-course reading. This reading will provide a valuable base level of knowledge, which will be built upon during the course. In addition, personal evening study will be required during the course, usually lasting 1.5 to 2 hours each night. Course Objectives
