PRINCE2™ Foundation Course

Overview

This is an examination based course, which gives delegates accreditation at PRINCE2™Foundation level. The course equips delegates with a detailed knowledge of the method, working through each stage of pre-project preparation and the project lifecycle. The course will detail how to initiate projects, including the documentation to be produced; such as the Project Initiation Document and the Business Case. It will then move on to product delivery and controlling each stage of the project, from both the perspective of the Project Manager and the Project Board. The course will then address the issues surrounding project completion.

Structure of the course

The course duration is three days, with the Foundation paper taken on the afternoon of the third day. The course booking fee includes a detailed timetable of pre-course reading. This reading will provide a valuable base level of knowledge, which will be built upon during the course. In addition, a set of example examination questions is included so you can gain some familiarity with the structure of the Foundation examination before joining the course.

Course Objectives

  • To learn & understand the PRINCE2™project management method

  • To discuss the implications of using and/or implementing PRINCE2™

  • To answer any questions about PRINCE2™

  • To pass the Foundation Exam

Who should attend?

In most organisations project staff, administrators, senior managers and project sponsors only need to have an overview, and this can be achieved via the Foundation course.

Examination details

The Foundation Examination is a multiple-choice paper consisting of 75 questions. You will have one hour and you need 38 correct answers to pass.
